The keel bolts had not been inspected since the mid 1970's. The keel was removed and sandblasted. It was found that three pairs of bronze bolts were in fine condition and were refurbished and reinstalled.
The two single wrought ironbolts at the front and back were in poor condition and were replaced in aluminium bronze.
The keel was epoxied and rebedded on caulking
cotton and Sicaflex. The galleries giving access to the nuts were plugged with iroko and epoxied.
The rebedding was videoed by Suffolk Yacht Harbour Limited.
The hull was sandblasted and thoroughly checked over.
Four soft patches were found and graving pieces epoxied in.
Three skin fittings were replaced, in bronze.
The rudder tube was replaced.
A new stainbless steel diesel tank was made.
The forward sections of toe rail were replaced on each size.
The steering wheel was enlarged.
The cockpit floor had a new epoxy cloth and the hatch coamings were replaced.
The original three bladed fixed propeller was replaced with a Featherstream self-feathering unit.
The original mainsheet wiches were replaced with Haaken self-tailers.
The boom was rebuilt and the reefing clutches and winch replaced.
New mainsail, furling genoa and Number 3 jib were supplied by One Sails.
The calorifier was increased in size.
Shore power was installed including galvanic isolator, smart battery charger, 13A socket and immersion heater.
